Friday, El Paso Rhinos 1 @ Oklahoma Warriors 4 – Rhinos are on the road this weekend as we pay a visit to the Oklahoma Warriors. Oklahoma takes the early game by storm with two goals before 10 minutes. William Lawson-Body & Joey Delgreco both take one goal a piece to end the first period at a 2-0 lead for the Warriors. Rhinos respond in the second period as Kolby Amici puts the Rhinos on the board at the 13:02 mark. The Warriors’ William Ahlrik increases the lead yet again with one goal in the last minute to end the period at 3-1 with Rhinos trailing behind. Ultimately it would be the Warriors to put the final point on the board as Blaise Miller gave them one final point to take a 4-1 victory.
Saturday, El Paso Rhinos 2 @ Oklahoma Warriors 3 – After last nights’ defeat the El Paso Rhinos return to try and tie the series with the Oklahoma Warriors. Brendan Williams starts off the night by putting the Drillers on the board first. While this would be the only score the Rhinos would see this period, the first 20 minutes was fraught with several fights and penalties. Moving into the second period Hunter Jones increases the Warriors’ lead to 2-0 in just over a minute. Halfway through the period Asher Wites would finally break the silence and put the Rhinos on the board. Moving into the third period Tyler Green manages to tie the game one last time for the Rhinos as we head into over time at 2-2. After fighting all game for it the Warriors’ Drew Sutton finally drove home the game with the winning goal at 4:26. Oklahoma would walk away from this series with a 2-Game sweep.
