Two-year Rhino veteran and Winnipeg, MB native Sam Sykes will continue his hockey career at the University of Central Oklahoma next season!
Although his final junior career season was cut short, Sykes finished the regular season ranked 14th in the WSHL in goals and landed in among the league’s top ten in shorthanded goals, shorthanded assists and shorthanded points. He was also second on the team in goals and tied for third in points. In both seasons with the Rhinos, the forward earned a combined total of 47 goals, 45 assists, and 92 points.
At UCO, he will join several former Rhinos including Ty Erramouspe, JC Dubecky, and Adam Stalzer while playing under Michael Rivera, a former Rhino captain and the head coach for UCO’s hockey team.
