Years with the Rhinos: Hopefully this is my first full season with the Juniors. For the past two seasons, I have played on the prep team and towards the end of the season last year, I made it on to the junior team.
What are you looking forward to this season?
I’m looking forward to our home games— our fans are awesome, having ice time every day and hanging out with the boys.
What are your goals for the upcoming season?
My goal for this year is to help the team succeed in winning the Division and the Thorne Cup.
What is one of the funniest moments you’ve had during your time as a Rhino?
During one of my first team events with the boys last year, we were at Rudy’s for a team meal. Gunnar, Mo, and Wilhite all got shoe checked and had to sing “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey to the entire restaurant.
What is the best part of playing for El Paso?
The best part about being a Rhino is the way we are treated here. We are all proud to be Rhinos. It’s just great to have the things we have— from going to practice and the training center every day, to our awesome fans at games. Nothing beats the support we get from everyone.
What is something few people know about you?
The reason I started playing hockey was that when I was five, I would always skate as fast as I could and my mom was afraid I was going to get hurt. Then she saw a flyer for roller hockey and thought that if I had pads on, I’d be safer and I’d be able to skate however fast I wanted.
