Make that seven El Paso Rhinos who will move on to play for St. Mary’s University in the fall.
Forward Eric Baldwin has officially committed to the St. Mary’s Cardinals ice hockey program, a popular NCAA destination for Rhinos this offseason.
Baldwin joined the Rhinos in February 2014 in a trade deadline acquisition from his hometown San Diego Gulls, making an immediate impact on the score sheet for El Paso. In 15 games, Baldwin scored 7 goals and 12 assists. The center also added 5 points in 8 playoff games.
“[Baldwin] is a good competitor, hard worker, and a player that will do whatever it takes to win,” said Rhinos head coach Cory Herman.
Baldwin will join fellow Rhinos teammates Jack Strusz, Chris Wilhite, Chad Cesarz, Drew DePalma, Austin Hoff, and David Nelson at St. Mary’s in the upcoming season.
