The El Paso Rhinos are proud to announce the call up of Derrick Brennan to the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL).
Brennan was a force in net for the Rhinos last year finishing the regular season with a sparkling 24-1-1 record and a .908 save percentage.
“We’re very excited for Derrick. Getting called up to a league like the SJHL is absolutely huge, the SJHL is the premiere Junior “A” league in Canada, and The Estevan Bruins were the Sherwood Conference Champions this season. Having a player called up to that league is really a giant step for us as an organization, and an unbelievable opportunity for Derrick”. said Rhino\’s Coach Cory Herman
“Derrick comes to us with an impressive resume, we’re very happy to find a player of his caliber. Thanks to Coach Herman andTrevor Converse for contacting us about him. El Paso’s program is creating quite a buzz in the U.S. and we hear very good things up here in Canadaabout Coach Herman and the Rhinos, we look forward to furthering our relationship with them in the future, hopefully this is just the tip of the iceberg.”
