Tuesday: New Mexico Ice Wolves 2 @ El Paso Rhinos 5 – Rhinos are back on familiar ice this week as they play host to the New Mexico Ice Wolves here in Rhino Country. Rhinos are up first to score tonight as Frank Tafelski sinks the puck in the net with just over three minutes left to go in the period. Rhinos would take a 1-0 lead as we move on to the second period. Ice Wolves return after intermission with newfound spirit as Tyler Pfister takes ties the game at four minutes into the period. At just past halfway through the period Ryan Johnson would increase New Mexico’s lead to 2-1 with their second goal of the game. With the Ice Wolves now leading the Rhinos aim to bring it back in the third. Eddie Shepler brings Rhinos back to a tie game, but this wouldn’t be the end of it. In the next few minutes Bradley Walker and Frank Tafelski both take a score each to put us square in the lead at 4-2. Just when we thought that would be the end of it, AJ Reed takes one last goal for the Rhinos and awards them a 5-2 victory for this weekday game.
