Tuesday, January 10th: New Mexico Ice Wolves 3 @ El Paso Rhinos 1 – The New Mexico Ice Wolves paid a visit to Rhino Country Tuesday afternoon for a single game. Rhinos put up an amazing defense in the first period, preventing any Ice Wolves goals for the whole of 20 minutes. Unfortunately for the Rhinos the Ice Wolves came back in the second to start scoring. Ryan Johnson takes the initiative with a goal at the 5:20 mark, followed by Sully Scholle a few minutes later. New Mexico leads the second period at 2-0. Headed into the third the Rhinos aim to cut the score with Reid Lune taking a goal early in the period. The opposition, however, wouldn’t let this stand and took one more goal to end the game at a 3-1 Ice Wolves victory.
