The Rhinos and the Crash, the Rhino Booster Club, will host a Holiday Party at the rink on Dec. 14 from 6-7:30 pm! The party will include skating with Rhino players, a snowman building contest judged by Rhino captains, and a cookie exchange.
For $15, fans can skate with the players from 6-7:15 pm. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Rhino booster club. With the exception of snowman making contestants, only those with skates will be permitted on the ice. There is no cost for attendees who do not skate and the public skating area will include tables and chairs for non-skaters.
Between 6:30 and 7 pm, the free snowman building contest will take place on the ice at the east end of the Arena. The maker of the winning snowman will receive a ride in the Razor and a Rhino jersey! For the contest, the Crash will supply items for eyes and noses. Participants are encouraged to bring other accessories (scarves, beanies, sticks for arms, etc.) to decorate the East End snowmen. Gloves are recommended to be worn by all snowman makers. Individuals participating in the snowman contest who do not wear skates will enter the ice through the Zamboni doors at the east end of the rink.
Attendees are encouraged to bring one or two dozen of their favorite cookies and recipes for a cookie exchange. For busy hockey families and non-bakers, store-bought cookies are completely acceptable! The Main Concessions Stand will also sell hot chocolate, coffee, pretzels, churros, and popcorn.
Consider bringing $15, cookies and snowman accessories, dress warm, and we hope to see you at the rink at 6 pm on December 14!
