Friday: Lone Star Brahmas 5 @ El Paso Rhinos 2 – The El Paso Rhinos play host to the Lone Star Brahmas for the first game of a 2-game series this weekend. Bo Cosman starts us off tonight to put the Rhinos first on the board at the 5:07 mark. This goal would go uncontested for most of the period until Matthe Macdonald broke through the Rhino defense to tie the game. Fortunately for the Rhinos Mason Kelly responded almost immediately to put the Rhinos back in the lead. The Brahmas’ Charlie Masek would go on to sneak in one more goal before the end of the period to the game at 2-2 going into the second. Connor Bergeron shoots the Brahmas into the lead with the only goal this period and we head into the third with a 3-2 Brahmas Lead. Will Laychur comes out swinging with an insurance goal for the Brahmas early in the period followed by Charlie Masek for his second goal of the night. The Lone Star Brahmas would take the first victory of the series with a 5-2 lead over the Rhinos.
