EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS) — Coach Cory Herman and his team the El Paso Rhinos walked in to commissioner’s court proudly carrying their prize Monday morning.
The team received recognition from county officials voting to declare April 23 “El Paso Rhinos Thorne Cup Championship Day,” in El Paso County.
The El Paso Rhinos won their lead championship on April 15.
It’s the third time the team won the championship in franchise history.
“It’s a great honor that the commissioners and county judge worked really hard this season,” said Herman.
