Rhinos Rip Outlaws, 13-1

LaBounty scored a goal in the first period, then two each in the final two frames.  

The Rhinos have seen a Texas hat trick (four goals) or two, but no El Paso player had put up five in a game until Saturday.

 

 

 

 

El Paso will again host Colorado in two weeks to begin the best-of-three Mid-West Division semifinals, while next weekend’s regular season-ending opponents, the San Antonio Diablos, are in a battle for home ice advantage with the Tulsa Rampage

The Rampage defeated Dallas Saturday, 4-3, to take a four-point lead on San Antonio in the Mid-West Division of the WSHL.

The forward from Moose Lake, MN , also notched the Rhinos’ 23rd short-handed goal of the season, tops in the Western States Hockey League.

 

 

 

 

Hayden Kowalski and Parker Harrison had two-goal nights for El Paso as well, while goaltender Arthur Hollinger picks up win number 24 on the season.

 

 

 

 

The Rhinos improve to 44-1-2 with 90 points with one more regular season game against the Outlaws Sunday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. MST.
